Five years after its founding, Tesla released the Roadster.

Musk also took over as CEO in 2008 and bought himself a ‘founding title’ 💪

The Roadster hit the road running, earning efficiency ratings similar to gas vehicles without fuel emissions! 🍀

In 2012, Tesla paused Roadster production to build a new Model S Sedan 🤯

Model S could go from 0mph to 60mph in under 5 seconds.

Soon Tesla built Supercharger stations and began to sell solar energy products ⚡️

Tesla Motors changed its name to Tesla since it started selling more than just cars 🧠

In the next couple of years, Tesla cranked out more vehicles.

The Model X, the Model 3, and soon Model Y 🤯

To support the rapid growth, Tesla opened “Gigafactories” to produce batteries and vehicles. 🏭

In the early 2020s, Tesla also teased the release of the Cybertruck, which excited and upset car lovers for its interesting design. 👀

Last year, in 2021, Tesla reported a soaring revenue of $53.8 billion, almost doubling performance from the previous year 🤑
